Gordon’s Bay native, Soné Joubert (26) has always dreamed of becoming a recording artist and has spent the last 14 years performing for friends, family and eventually on The Voice stage..
Spending hours with pen and paper, Sone has also carved out a craft as a passionate and credible songwriter in both English and Afrikaans. South African audiences very quickly fell in love with the young artist on the third instalment of The Voice, and it was the public who continued to bring Sone to the stage week-on-week. Sunday after Sunday, the singer continued to level up, which ultimately saw Soné reach the podium in the 2nd Spot , beside her friend Tasche Burger. She was rapidly snatched up by Universal Music, receiving a lucrative record deal with the company
July and August 2019 sees the once nine-to-fiver shifting focus to studio recordings, songwriting, video shoots and performance rehearsals to bring new material to the genre she so loved. Fans can expect a debut single in August and a full album before the end of the year.
